Christian's passion for investing was ignited at the tender age of 11 years old. This experience is where his journey into venture capital truly began and shaped many of his professional and personal pursuits going forward. After his freshman year of college, and a Big Sky Championship, Christian decided to put in his application to serve a two-year service mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Christian's academic path then continued post mission at BYU, where he earned a BS in Economics and was an active leader within the Marriott School — playing a key role in founding and managing the Private Equity and Venture Capital Club.

Christian began his professional career in investment banking with Barclays' technology team in Menlo Park, which became his springboard into venture capital. He subsequently joined two prominent multi-stage deep tech and climate focused venture funds, DCVC and Fifth Wall, managing over $8 billion in assets combined. During this period, Christian developed a comprehensive skill set, conducting full due diligence processes, securing board positions, and personally deploying over $100 million across early and late-stage investments. Time in investing led Christian's transition to a founding role at Ultion, a lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery cell and pack manufacturer based out of Las Vegas, Nevada. At Ultion, Christian currently leads finance and strategy, bridging his investment expertise with hands-on operational leadership.

Most recently, and building on the all of his previous experiences, Christian has also been developing Hexagon, a venture fund platform focused on investing in early-stage deep tech startups that will launch in 2025.

Beyond professional pursuits, Christian is married to Karren Thatcher, and is the proud parent of two young boys. Whenever he can find spare time, you will find Christian outside either playing tag with his kids, skiing with his wife, surfing, or training for a triathlon.
